On the World Day against the Death Penalty 10-10-2024 in both cities of Kirkuk and Erbil, human rights and anti-genocide organizations held two rallies and press conferences, with the participation of media channels, called for the abolition of the death penalty in Iraq and Kurdistan.
They also called on the Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional Governments not to sign any death sentences, to protect the dignity of prisoners, and to stop torture and intimidation.

On the Kurdistan Justice Day in Chamchamal, genocide organizations called for the trial of genocide perpetrators, and the Kurdistan Regional Government is not taking any steps in this regard. 258 of the 423 suspects are Kurds living in Kurdistan. They also demanded that the bones of the victims be returned to Kurdistan as soon as possible and that DNA tests be conducted on the relatives of the victims to identify them. The Kurdistan Justice Regime has been determined on the proposal of the Kurdistan Organization without Genocide.
